On the morning of June 27, the School of Public Policy and Management held the graduation ceremony and degree conferral for the 2024 class of undergraduates, academic master's, and doctoral students in Classroom 203. The ceremony was attended by Dean Shi Yungui, Vice Deans Zhou Junxu, Zeng Fanjun, Qin Zhimin, and Chen Lin, along with class advisors and more than ten faculty representatives. Over 200 graduates participated, with Deputy Party Secretary Yu Dan presiding over the event.

In his address to the graduates, Dean Shi Yungui offered four key pieces of advice. First, he emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity, staying true to one's original aspirations, and remembering the mission to serve the people wholeheartedly. Graduates should express gratitude to the country, society, and their parents, learning to be kind to themselves in adversity and to others in prosperity.

Second, professor Shi encouraged graduates to become lifelong learners and adaptive talents in the information age. By continuously absorbing knowledge throughout their lives, graduates can grow into towering figures who contribute their skills and knowledge back to society.

Third, he stressed the importance of self-discipline, reminding graduates that "success comes from self-discipline, and perseverance leads to brilliance." He urged them to pursue their goals with outstanding discipline and solitary diligence, realizing their life's value.

Fourth, he advised maintaining a positive and resilient mindset. Even when facing complex social relationships, significant life pressures, and relentless challenges, graduates should hold onto their ideals, remain grounded, persevere, and contribute to the nation's progress, writing their own extraordinary future chapters.

Faculty representative Chen Jinghao shared his hopes for the graduating students, urging them to adapt to role changes and embrace transformation. He noted that graduation signifies the end of their academic journey and the start of new phases in life. Chen encouraged the graduates to face difficulties courageously, persistently pursue their dreams, and enrich their lives through ongoing development.

As the degree conferral ceremony began, Qin Zhimin announced the degree conferral decision. Graduates, including undergraduates, academic master's students, and doctoral candidates, took turns to receive their degrees. Members of the academic degree committee performed the tassel-turning ceremony, conferred degree certificates, and posed for commemorative photos. Class advisors and counselors offered sincere blessings to each graduate. With this, the graduation ceremony and degree conferral for the 2024 cohort of undergraduates and academic master’s students at the School of Public Policy and Management has successfully concluded.
