On the morning of June 27, the School of Public Policy and Management at Guangxi University held its graduation ceremony and degree conferral for the 2024 class of Master of Public Administration (MPA) graduates in Room 203 of the school’s lecture hall. The ceremony was attended by more than 200 people, including Dean Shi Yungui, Vice Deans Zhou Junxu, Zeng Fanjun, Qin Zhimin, Chen Lin, Professors Luo Shujie and Li Changzhen, faculty representatives, all graduating MPA students, and their families. The event was presided over by Deputy Party Secretary Yu Dan.
Dean Shi Yungui, faculty representative Li Guoliang, graduating student representative Zhou Chong, and current student representative Liu Jiaojiao delivered speeches. Professor Shi began by warmly congratulating the 104 MPA graduates on successfully completing their studies, recognizing their hard work and dedication. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the leaders, friends, and mentors who have long supported the development of the MPA program.
In his address, professor Shi emphasized the importance of lifelong learning, stating that in today’s fast-paced era of knowledge renewal, continuous learning is essential for success. He pointed out that lifelong learning is a decisive factor in achieving personal dreams and helps individuals remain competitive in the market economy while contributing to the realization of the Chinese Dream. Dean Shi also mentioned that those who embrace lifelong learning can maintain a positive mindset in both favorable and challenging times, leveraging opportunities in prosperity and building resilience in adversity. He encouraged all MPA graduates to dare to dream and to achieve their aspirations through continuous learning. Concluding his speech, Dean Shi expressed his best wishes for the graduates, confident that they will use their MPA degrees as a new starting point to pursue their dreams and achieve greatness through lifelong learning.
During the degree conferral segment, Vice Dean Zhou Junxu announced the degree conferral decision. Graduates ascended the stage one by one to ceremonial music. Dean Shi Yungui, along with Vice Deans Zhou Junxu, Zeng Fanjun, Qin Zhimin, Researcher Xiong Bin, and Associate Professor Li Guoliang, congratulated each graduate with a handshake and performed the symbolic tassel-turning ceremony, followed by commemorative photos.
At the close of the event, Deputy Party Secretary Yu Dan once again extended her congratulations to all graduates and formally declared the conclusion of the graduation ceremony and degree conferral for the School of Public Administration’s MPA program. The event ended on a joyful note, marking a significant milestone for the graduates as they embark on their new journeys.
